The Author

I’m a newly graduated dietetic intern, and — as of July 18, 2013, a board-certified Registered Dietitian. I’m eager to create positive change through my work, and I’m particularly inspired by the ever-growing ability we have to reach the community through social media and cutting-edge technology.

Things I love:

My pets.

Fitness in all its wonderful forms ๐Ÿ™‚

Food. Period.

Coffee and flowers.

I make my life in Portland, Oregon. Every day I am inspired by the dynamic and active lives that people here lead. This city has inspiredย  me to try new activities, new foods, and be open-minded about whatever comes my way. Portland is a truly invigorating place and serves as excellent fodder for my food and lifestyle investigations. And the rain nourishes my mind as much as it does the moss and trees!

I created this blog because I want to investigate happiness. Whether it’s via food, nutrition, wellness, physical activity, writing, DIY ideas, or motivational thoughts (or ___, you fill in the blank!), I want to be my most authentic self here. We’re all just trying to chase our dreams the most rational way we know how. If you’re inspired by anything I say here, it will all be worth it.

I had no idea they were so dramatically different! That’s important info. It’s wonderful to e-meet another blogger interested in health, nutrition and happiness. I hope you have a happy 4th of July.
